Please select your carb set option with either 55mm inlets for use with POD’s and other filters found in this store or elsewhere, or otherwise with 58mm inlets for matching your OEM air-box where we install anodized alloy sleeves. There’s also the option to buy with or without our KRS-001 Throttle and cable combo, requiring the bumping up of the OEM switch block.
This Mikuni RS36 carburetor Kit will breathe a whole new lease of life into your Triumph Adventurer, Thunderbird sport, Tiger, Trident 900 and other similar triples with an up to 25% increase in power, whilst making it perform and operate as it should with no hesitations or flat spots.
You will very quickly realize that the expense of a rebuild of your old worn OEM carbs can far exceed the cost of these new units and unfortunately as with many rebuilds now days you only have the option in many cases of gambling with very poor quality aftermarket parts. Considering this and if intending to ride and enjoy your motorcycle for years to come, it makes good sense to retire your OEM carbs into the cupboard and step up to a set of RS’s, the improvement will be very impressive.
Before rushing in and ordering please firstly check your carb spacing and carbie sizes for compatibility.
This Mikuni kit comes with the following carb throat centre to centre spacing’s for direct fitment to Triumph triple models and with a total front to back measurement of 100mm will adapt to the stock air-box 58mm (for using PODs they can be supplied at 55mm), engine inlet rubbers (42mm) and throttle cables.
A= 88mm (spacing centre to centre between carb 1 & 2)
B= 88mm (spacing centre to centre between carb 2 & 3)
Pilot Jet: VM28/486-17.5, Needle: 9DZH1, Needle Jet: P-4 (568 Series), Main Jet: N100.604-120/130
A spare set of size 15 pilots are provided and may need fitting when using the stock air-box. Two spare sets of mains are also provided for WOT testing for confirming correct tune. Other than that bolt them on and hold on.
Of the different versions of OEM carbs fitted to Triumphs, some stock throttle cables will connect to these carbs, where if you don’t have a return cable the factory recommends the fitment of one of our throttle and cable combo’s same as the one in the picture gallery being our road bike throttle and cable assembly (KRS-001) or otherwise a Quick action 1/4 turn throttle and cable kit (PPQA40K)
You can also buy separately either POD filters or Velocity stacks (only available in a set of 4) for racing, which have no form of filter in them (15, 30,50 and 75mm long). Wowee! Better than new ,smooth acceleration and goes like sting with these bad boys on ! Highly recommended as replacement for old or warn original carbs on the tbirds or other triples !

I wanted to let you know that I finally had the opportunity to get my carburetors for my Triumph 900 triple installed. I cannot say how impressed I am both with the build quality, ease of installation and how well the bike ran right out of the box. Only real install work was to modify the factory air box cups so they would fit the round intakes and fabricate a custom choke bracket so the factory handlebar choke control would work.
Took it out for a good shake down run yesterday and it’s absolutely flawless. Runs smoother, pulls harder and is now an absolute joy to ride. Choke works amazing and fires right up. I was really considering selling this bike because it just never ran right and was always somewhat of an ordeal to take it to any sort of a destination. Can’t say thank you enough.
