If space is not of a major concern, this is by far your most solid and reliable option for Mikuni carb mounting when replacing the Amal carburetor on British or European motorcycles. Use this aftermarket alloy and rubber Mounting Flange which is for use on Mikuni carbs with a 40mm spigot outside diameter at the motor end and a 2 inch Amal spacing distance between the two mounting bolt centres (8.5mm diameter stud holes). The flange bore size at the mounting face is 31mm and it will stand your carb off the mounting surface either 55mm as shown and 45 or 35mm if shortened.
The supporting of your carburetor so as to eliminate stress on flanges is always recommended especially when used on the harsh off road conditions found in Australia.
