This Mikuni TM42 Flatslide Pumper single carburetor conversion kit is for fitment to early kick-start Yamaha TT and XT600 models using the pictured red frame or similar Teneree frame. Please confirm you have one of the three same suitable frames and air-box as pictured, both air box rubber pipes on the red frame models are of equal size with some ribbed and some smooth. The pictured white Belgarda frame electric start frame will accept this carb also but quite tricky to wriggle into place and attach the air box adapter and rubber flange to the carb once set back into the frame. A small amount of material, using a file, has to be removed from the down tube to allow the carb to stand upright. This bike as does the pictured blue frame, both have a larger diameter air box rubber connection pipe on the RH side, where select the appropriate forked adapter option. The same looking blue framed kick start model is slightly different in the location of the plate behind carb plate which requires modification for fitment. This may also apply to the red Teneree frame (slightly different in appearance to the XT600Z pictured), where in house we fitted this kit with clearance to later have a customer having to remove a little material as too tight.

Some models have 6mm fuel lines where you will need to purchase elsewhere an 8 to 6mm reducing hose tail or better still an inline fuel filter with the mixed sizes. Fuel line is not provided.
These kits are available in both this the high performance option or the budget priced TM38. The TM40 pumper will not fit with these frames due to a lack of available space. The other Belgarda 600 has a different frame with lower mounted shock and separate kit (we also build) which is available in TM38, TM40 pumper and with that bike, the TM42 with a small frame modification required.
The TM42 Pumper has proven itself to be a spectacular upgrade on all brands in the 600cc and larger big thumper market. These Mikuni carburetors like the TM38 will adapt to your stock air-box when using our supplied, forked air-box adapter.
The kit comes with a Mikuni TM42-6 carb, cast two into one manifold with mounting hardware, heavy duty rubber engine mounting flange to isolate the heat, a forked air-box adapter with a carb end hose clamp (requiring the shortening of your OEM rubbers for connection), a 1/4 turn quick action throttle and a nylon lined push/pull cable set. A 310mm long choke cable with universal mounting bracket. There are spare jets provided for fine tuning.
Climate, altitude and fuel density from different octane fuels all have varying effects on final fine tuning as does cam, exhaust and cylinder head porting etc. For this reason, we have included what we have found to be a range of jets to allow you to tune to most variables worldwide.
