Mikuni RS40 Carb Kit- Honda Four DOHC CB 1100, 900, 750 Race Engines

This Mikuni RS40 carburetor Kit is for the Honda DOHC CB1100, 750’s and 900’s with race worked engines. These carbs are designed for use with high flow POD filters.

Before rushing in and ordering please firstly check your carb spacing and carbie sizes for compatibility. These are not suited for downdraft engines.

This Mikuni kit comes in two fitment options– with the following carb centre to centre spacing’s for direct fitment to Honda CB750. CB900 and CB1100. Both options measure 100mm front to back with an outside diameter at the air-filter end of 55mm and 43mm at the outlet.

Option 1- Suits 1979 thru 1983 models. Outlet Diameter at the engine side is 43mm

A= 80mm (spacing centre to centre between carb 1 & 2)
B= 100mm (carb 2 & 3)
C= 80mm (carb 3 & 4)

Option 2- Suits 1984 and later models. Outlet Diameter at the engine side is 43mm. If using the OEM air-box note that these carbs are 4mm shorter front to back than the OEM units. There is an oil line mod required for carb bowl clearance on some models shown in the picture gallery.

A= 72mm (spacing centre to centre between carb 1 & 2)
B= 88mm (carb 2 & 3)
C= 72mm (carb 3 & 4)

Your stock throttle cables will not match to these carbs, where we have available in the RS accessories page either our road bike throttle and cable assembly (KRS-001) or a Quick action 1/4 turn throttle and cable kit (PPQA40K)
You can also buy separately either POD filters or Velocity stacks which have no form of filter in them (15, 30,50 and 75mm long) for racing.
