Mikuni VM Round slide Carburetor

To select a VM Carb and all its associated accessories, “HOVER” over VM carbs on the menu to the left of the screen and select either the carb size you want or carb parts if seeking actual carb components.

Unlike many motorcycle manufacturers’ purpose modified versions, these factory VM Round Slides are both 2 and 4 stroke compatible.

These are the most popular high performance singles carburetors in the sport of motorcycling. Mikuni’s VM Series round slide single carburettors have proven themselves as the performance standard for use in any single cylinder motorcycle and ATV applications for motocross, enduro and trail riding, to flat track racing and road racing on both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.

Performance features for the VM Series Carburetors include a large selection of bore sizes for increased fuel mixture flow to match engine modifications.  And the VM Series offers a wide range of tuning components to allow precise fuel mixture metering in any application, at any throttle setting, under any riding conditions.

Renowned in Australia for decades, especially when period racing, as the ideal replacement for temperamental OEM carbs on both 2 and 4-stroke engines, when just wanting an easy starting, smooth operating carburetor which also as a bonus delivers some more power.

These carburetors can be adapted to a number of different applications from single to multi-cylinder engines, giving better throttle response, improved acceleration, increased horsepower and torque.

Each of these Mikuni carburetors were  originally  introduced as a high performance OEM Carburetor  for a particular motorcycle and does often require the replacement of some jets to perform properly in any other situation here in Australia. For this check out each individual carburetor category where you can purchase a base tuner kit suited to your application from the related tuner kit listings or if your engine isn’t listed, have the option to choose one for another closely spec’ed engine so as to give you a good tuning start point.

Compare your existing carburetors dimensions against those listed for each carb for direct replacement compatibility and study the pictures taken on our graph board (the black lines are at 10mm spacings with 1mm increments in between), to determine available space if fitting in an unpublicized application.

With an unmatched air-cleaner spigot diameter or carb length and if still wanting to use the OEM air box rather than a Pod, check out our “Air-cleaner adapter listing”. If you can’t find a match, the manufacturing of special sleeves or extensions for some applications may be necessary. This is easily done by your local machine shop or any muffler shop with a pipe expander and the results far surpass the inconvenience.

If your OEM cables don’t match and if not available in our “Throttle and Cable assembly list”, you may well also need to have yours modified or new ones made for your application. (The picture in each carburetor description showing the cables, shows the required length of inner cable protrusion and securing fitting required at the carb end)
