The Mikuni VM carb incorporates many upgraded features not found in the stock Amal carburetor with the most notable being a heavy duty hard chrome plated bronze slide for decades of consistent service. All this means going  faster has never been so easy, say goodbye to hard starting, irregular idle, hesitations, flatspots and most of all short carburetor life.  The single Mikuni VM34 carburetor is easily fitted to your Norton and the improvement is instant. There are jets provided that must be changed as well as spares for fine tuning the top end at WOT. Climate, altitude and fuel density from different octane fuels all have varying effects on final fine tuning as does cam, exhaust and cylinder head porting etc. In the jet kit is a range of jets for the Mikuni VM34 carburettor to best suit your Norton on Australian fuel but please do contact us if you believe further fine tuning is required and we can guide you through the process. Once tuned a VM Mikuni will not go out of tune for many years.

This kit includes an upgraded alloy 2-1 manifold with mounting screws and gaskets which has been designed so as to accept a heavier that usual carb mounting flange, a nylon lined throttle cable with 70 degree lower end fitting and a POD air-filter. the purchaser will need to arange their fuel line connection where the carb inlet fitting is 8mm or 5/16″.

You will instantly experience better throttle response, easier starting without the mess from ticklers, improved acceleration, increased horsepower and torque.  In a number of instances Dyno tests have shown improvements of up to and over 25%  when fitted to OEM carburetored engines.

If wishing to modify your existing Norton cables to suit the Mikuni VM 34 or use a different air filter rather than the provided POD Air filter you can purchase the carburetor, tuner jet kit and or what ever other components you want individually by following the directions below.

This also makes alternate jet selection easy for you if you have your own spec or wish to purchase extra jets as only the type of  jets that fit that particular carb are shown.
