This universal throttle and cable assembly is for use with the full range of Mikuni VM and TM carbs up to 38mm.

Our 7/8″ (22mm) Universal Throttle assembly comes which either black or CNC machined alloy finish is designed for use with all our VM and TM non-pump type carbs and especially the smaller carbs where the four cable connection position options on the throttle tube rotor enables you to take up the slack in cables with normally to long inner wires.

The throttle is CNC machined alloy with a black anodized finish.

The housing is 23mm wide and protruding tube length is 113mm for use with 110mm grips.

70 Degree lower cable fittings: This Mikuni 2 into 1 Cable with splitter box is available off the shelf in 950mm or 1050mm long (chrome elbow to elbow) and for matching 10mm threaded throttles with Mikuni VM carbs 38mm & all TM non pump Mikuni carburetors through to 38mm. The cable comes with the pictured angled 10mm throttle fitting and a 70 degree lower pipe fitting for fitting into standard Mikuni carb top adjusters with locking screw. 90 Degree threaded lower cable fittings: This Mikuni 2 into 1 Cable with splitter box available off the shelf in 950mm or 1050mm long (chrome elbow to elbow) and for matching 10mm threaded throttles with Mikuni VM carbs 38mm & all TM non pump Mikuni carburetors through to 38mm. The cable comes with the pictured angled 10mm throttle fitting and a 90 degree lower fitting for screwing directly into the carb top for a low profile attachment and appearance. As the elbow threads directly into the screw on top of the VM carbs, to access the needle for clip adjustments etc, the carb needs to be removed and the whole body spun to undo the carb top. Sometimes this can be avoided by backing the top lock nut right off and allowing the lid to spin up the elbow fitting when winding off the top of the carb. These premium grade cables use a Nylon lined outer housing. The Nylon liner inside the outer cable housing conduit is for reduced friction and heat resistance. All throttle cables must be lubricated during installation with cable lube or a very light oil such as 3 in 1 to avoid clogging. Besides the need to lubricate the inner wire in the housing, the cable end barrels at their pivot points should be lubricated with water proof grease. If you need to clean your cable which is particularly relevant for dirt bikes. We recommend using WD40 or a very light oil such as 3 in 1. This effectively washes away dirt from the cable, without clogging it.
