Honda XR600, NX & XR650 Mikuni TM38 Flatslide Non-Pumper Carburetor

Description

The Mikuni TM38 Non Pump type TM Flatslide carburetor has for decades been the economical replacement carb of choice for Honda XR600 and XR650 riders who have worn out their OEM carbs or are just over some of their inherent problems. All this means getting the full enjoyment out of your Honda has never been so easy, say goodbye to hard starting, hesitations and flatspots.  These Mikuni carburetors are correctly sized and easily fitted to your Honda XR600 and XR650 stock air box when using the silver anodized air-box adapter. This adapter is fitted prior to delivery when purchasing complete kits. The kit also comes with a 1/4 turn quick action throttle and a nylon lined cable with a 90 degree lower fitting for the tight clearance on some models. There are jets provided that must be changed as well as spares for fine tuning. Climate, altitude and fuel density from different octane fuels all have varying effects on final fine tuning as does cam, exhaust and cylinder head porting etc. For this reason, we have included what we have found to be a range of jets to allow you to tune to most variables.

Note:  The fuel tank on some XR650 models will impede choke knob access. The choke is usually never required in warmer climates but if an issue upgrade to a TM pumper carburetor. Please advise on ordering if an XR or NX as the jetting does differ slightly. Do also please check your carb dimensions as there have been some variations through the years where the stock carb is only 100mm long front to back or around 112mm, the sleeve we normally fit to this carb makes it 120mm long and 60mm diameter at the air-box. Rubbers will clamp down to the 47mm and 60mm ends but we do need to know if you want it supplied at a different length.

If wishing to modify or use your existing Honda XR600, XR650 cables to suit the Mikuni TM38 or use a POD filter rather than the original air-box you can purchase the carburetor, tuner jet kit and or what ever other components you want individually by following the directions below.

When clicking on any individual size Mikuni carb from the drop down list it will put you into a page showing not only the Mikuni carb itself but also any items relevant to that carb, being Mikuni jets, Mikuni flanges, Mikuni carb tuner kits, Mikuni cables , Mikuni throttles, Mikuni air-cleaners and a range of Mikuni carb to OEM air box adaptors etc to also suit. This also makes alternate jet selection easy for you if you have your own spec as only the type jets for that particular carb are shown.
