KRS-001 Push/Pull Throttle & 990mm Cables, RS Carbs,TM33, 36, 40 (Black Housing)

Description

A Push/Pull Throttle Assembly is required with use of all Mikuni Racing Carburetors to assure the positive closing of the carburetor throttle slides against the high vacuum pressures encountered in racing engines. The Mikuni Push/Pull Throttle Assembly includes a black epoxy finished twist throttle housing assembly and both throttle cables with adjusters. These cables are compatible with Mikuni RS Racing carburetors, Mikuni TM33-8012, TM36-68 and TM40-6 for road bike applications.

Referring to the length dimension picture for the measuring points, there are two cable length options. The pull cable has a 10mm thread and the return 12mm. the top chrome fitting adds around another 50mm to the overall length.

990 mm total length from the top elbow to bottom of the M6 lower adjuster. For motorcycles requiring more cable length such as Kawasaki Z900, Triumphs and other engines with more vertical configurations. Also available in 990mm for shorter applications and all OEM Suzuki and Yamaha 4 cylinder models, listed separately. Do compare and confirm cable lengths before ordering.

The return cable must be set to physically close the throttle valve and hold it closed when the throttle is hard backed off. Where after lubricating the cables as per the instructions, the return is first set to be under load when closed, meaning the cable tight at closed, not the throttle tube resting on the throttle housing stop. Then set the pull cable with a mm or so of free play on hard RH steering lock where with this being the tightest bend application in the cable, the inner wire is sitting at its shortest protrusion.
