This Mikuni TM40 Pumper Flatslide single carburetor conversion kit is for fitment to electric start Belgarda TT600 models.
These kits are a simple and impressive bolt up performance increase over and above our TM38 kit where only outdone by our TM42 Kit requiring frame and often tank modifications for fitment.
FRAME CLEARANCE ISSUE- There are a couple of frame variations in this model where the back of the cable rotor to frame distance changes. This negates fitment to some Belgarda models where we believe motors with the top cylinder fin protruding less than 5mm behind the manifold mounting surface have no issues, but the motors with the fin protruding well in excess of the 5mm have no possibility of fitment without cutting and boxing out the frame. The TM40 pumper is a huge step up in performance over your OEM carbs and an easy resolution to non repairable, worn out stock units. These carbs are also a popular upgrade for Honda XR600, XR650, Suzuki DR600 and 650 riders, especially when you have worn out their OEM carbs or are just over some of their inherent problems. All this means getting the full enjoyment out of your motorcycle has never been so easy, say goodbye to hard starting, hesitations and flat spots.
Cylinder fin modification required on some models: Check your top cylinder fin protrusion to confirm the new manifold seats properly onto the cylinder head ports. As per the other picture material may need to be removed from the fin or even easier, make even deeper the machined recess on the manifold itself. This we believe only applies to electric start model cylinders which this TM40 kit will not fit.
Air-box connection kit. For airbox connection on the Belgarda, the silicon hose connection runs straight back above the shock, where we provide a black anodised alloy plate for sealing and riveting to your OEM air-box face to seal off the remains of the twin ports after you have cut out a larger central hole. On some models the pre-drilled hole located at the top LH corner of the plate needs re-locating lower. There’s an alloy flange you need to rivet to the plate using sealant ( 3 blind rivets supplied) and a length of reinforced silicon pipe for connection to the back of the carb using the provided clamps.
The kit comes with a Mikuni TM40-6 carb, cast two into one manifold with mounting hardware, heavy duty rubber engine mounting flange to isolate the heat, air-box connection kit, a 1/4 turn quick action throttle and a push/pull nylon lined cable set. There are jets fitted as well as spare main jets for WOT fine tuning. Comes fitted with a knob choke.
The carb comes with a rarely ever required knob choke but if you have an oversize tank fitted and need a cable choke and universal bracket it can be purchased separately.
Climate, altitude and fuel density from different octane fuels all have varying effects on final fine tuning as does cam, exhaust and cylinder head porting etc. For this reason, we have included what we have found to be a range of jets to allow you to tune to most variables worldwide.

When clicking on any individual size Mikuni carb from the drop down list it will put you into a page showing not only the Mikuni carb itself but also any items relevant to that carb, being Mikuni jets, Mikuni flanges, Mikuni carb tuner kits, Mikuni cables , Mikuni throttles, Mikuni air-cleaners and a range of Mikuni carb to OEM air box adaptors etc to also suit. This also makes alternate jet selection easy for you if you have your own spec as only the type jets for that particular carb are shown.

Very, very much worth the effort and price. This setup on my 98 ttr600 with stock cam and opened air box convincingly outperforms my xr600 with performance cam and tm42.
