This Mikuni TM42 Flatslide Pumper single carburetor conversion kit is for fitment to the 1990 thru 1995 XT600E models with the out ward facing rubber boots for this unique air-box connection on each side rather than directly back. Please that the frame and air-box shown in the picture library are the same as yours.

These kits are available in both this TM42 pumper high performance option or the budget priced TM38 which still out performs the OEM carb set. The TM40 pumper will not fit with this frame due to a lack of available space.

The TM42 Pumper has proven itself to be a spectacular upgrade on all brands in the 600cc and larger big thumper market.   These Mikuni carburetors like the TM38 will adapt to your stock air-box when using our supplied, forked air-box adapter. There are required customer modifications as listed below, where also shown in detail in the PDF attachment.

REQUIRED MODIFICATIONS TO ENABLE FITMENT- The cross plate located above and behind your carbs needs a 45mm wide by 10mm high section removed for overhead clearance. The cut out on the bottom of our alloy motor manifold for Belgarda motor fin clearance isn’t enough for this motor where you have the choice of removing more material from the manifold or from the motor fin as pictured in the PDF. On our Mikunioz YouTube channel there’s a video showing the easy process for fitting up the alloy manifold.  You will need to shorten your air-box rubber boots for attachment to our manifold. The coil fouls with this 42mm carb (not the TM38) requiring the fabrication of a forward mounting bracket to relocate the coil, again all shown in detail with the plate dimensions in the PDF. Fuel line is not provided where you will be connecting to an 8mm fitting on the carb. All the time and effort required to make a far superior carb not made for your bike fit, is long forgotten when you experience the huge jump in rideability and performance.

The kit comes with a Mikuni TM42-6 carb, cast two into one manifold with mounting hardware, heavy duty rubber engine mounting flange to isolate the heat, a forked air-box adapter with a carb end hose clamp (requiring the shortening of your OEM rubbers for connection), a 1/4 turn quick action throttle and a nylon lined push/pull cable set. A 310mm long  choke cable with universal mounting bracket. There are spare jets provided for fine tuning.

Climate, altitude and fuel density from different octane fuels all have varying effects on final fine tuning as does cam, exhaust and cylinder head porting etc. For this reason, we have included what we have found to be a range of jets to allow you to tune to most variables worldwide.
